Artists Statement
Working in porcelain I create simple, hand thrown tableware and individual pieces. I try to capture fluidity and crispness through the rhythm of repetition. The glazing is subtle, to reveal the plasticity and translucency of porcelain.
Technical Information
I use a highly translucent Porcelain from Valentine Clays. All work is hand-thrown and fired in both a propane gas kiln and electric kiln to 1260°C in reducing and oxidising atmospheres
